I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas
Merry Christmas, 2009
I used to think how pretty it would be to have a White Christmas. It is pretty! I have witnessed several White Christmas's living in Colorado.
We received a Christmas Card from a friend and I liked what it said: Christmas: A time to warmly remember those who touch our lives in so many special ways....
A time for telling the special people in our lives they are fondly remembered, cherished and loved today and all year though.
This Christmas God sent guardian angels to watch over us on Christmas Day.
Terri & Gary Baxter invited us for breakfast on Christmas morning. It was a very special time visiting with their family and other neighbors & friends. It was a beautiful snowy ride over to their house and Terri had prepared a feast! biscuits, country ham, fruit salads, breakfast casseroles, sweet rolls, etc. (too much to mention). After eating and visiting, we were invited later that day for a prime rib dinner with Roy and Cheri Larson. We arrived around 2:00 along with other "homeless people" and enjoyed visiting, eating everything under the sun and ending with Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes.
I have to say that Sam and I did shed a few tears thinking about our family and missing them at Christmas time. We were able to talk to them and enjoyed hearing their excitement and the excitement of Will, Ellie, Byrum and Mia. Thank you for the "Wii" We set it up and played bowling and tennis. Thank you Jason, Ashley & Byrum for the surprise Wii Active game also. We have no excuse to be out of shape in 2010!
I am going to post a few pictures of what our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day was like. I would label them, but am afraid to after trying a while ago and nothing seemed to work. In the pictures are Terri & Gary Baxter, Cheri & Roy Larson, "Sam" the Christmas Dog, Most of the friends that were at Cheri & Roys house, Jerrie, my friend at Sky Ridge, Driving on the snow covered road and a few scenes from the winter wonderland outside.

I missed you too and thought about you a lot. Its good though that this was our Thanksgiving together and not Christmas because we would have been stuck without power up here and had a hard time traveling.
ReplyDeleteI love this post and your photos! We're so glad you had special people to share the day with. That means so much, and is comforting to us. We missed you and Sam, and were hoping all day that you were having a wonderful day as well. Yea for a white Christmas! We love you.
