FUN TIMES
After celebrating our 40th anniversary, we have continued to celebrate and enjoy new places, and enjoying time spent with family and friends. Sam and I visited the Powderhorn Resort in Mesa, Colorado and the area surrounding it. We were on a mission to see a moose especially when I continued to see signs that said "Moose Crossing"! No moose in sight but did see a few little creatures called Rock Badgers and, of course, chipmunks. We saw canyons of all shapes and colors and the most amazing thing was the valley towns where our vegetables and fruit are grown in Colorado. We ventured into Utah to Moab and the Arches National Park. We tried to see more, but we just got tired of all of the driving so decided to visit some of the other areas another time.
After returning from our little trip, we were happy to have Aunt Catherine and Aunt Joy come for a visit. Catherine had never flown before and I am so happy to report her flight was a good one. I asked her when we were headed back to the airport what her most exciting thing was that we did and, I believe, it was the airplane ride and maybe second, Pikes Peak. Joy also agreed that Pikes Peak was a favorite and also the Flying W Ranch.
It was hard to say good-bye but I know they were ready to return home and get some rest!
Sam and I continued with more fun times going to Dillon, Colorado. I was a little nervous as we had been invited to go on a bike ride with friends. I am not in the best shape and was a little concerned about riding. The weather was great for a ride and off we went. I think we rode approximately 15 miles from Dillon to Frisco. I probably slowed the group down which is pretty humbling since I was the youngest one on the trip. I don't have a picture of our bike ride, but did take a few of Dave and Diane's condo and the view of the lake outfront.
I guess life is going to slow down a little bit this week with no trips planned and no company coming. We can start planning for our next adventure when Jimmy and Gilda come at the end of September.

I love all the pictures - looks like you all had fun! The bike ride sounds like a lot of fun, I bet it was beautiful. We were riding around yesterday and I told Jason it reminded me of a Colorado day - so clear and blue. It REALLY made me wish we could head out there right now! Love you!
